M.Shadows updates fans about his vocal conditions

M.Shadows has told Revolver Magazine in a new interview that his condition has improved after a blood blister on his vocal cords forced Avenged Sevenfold to cancel the summer tour with Prophets Of Rage and Three Days Grace. Communicating via e-mail, since he's still on vocal rest, M.Shadows explained: "Luckily, I didn't have surgery. I was just put on a long vocal rest until the swelling went down. A lot of singers get this at some point, so it's nothing to worry about. I've already been cleared to start humming and doing light warm-ups."

When asked what has been the hardest part about having to remain silent over the past two months, M.Shadows responded: "Not speaking when you are out in public is tough. People don't understand and think you're full of shit."

Asked if he had to take any special precautions or go on a particular diet while recovering, M.Shadows said: "I'm always on a diet for singing, also acid reflux pills and lots of water. I could probably start singing very soon but I'm going to take this recovery slow just to make sure everything is as strong as it can be. I'll be ready to roll for the next record."
